So you see, Matt saved me. He saved me in every way a person can be saved.

He forced me to show myself to the world, exposed the real me. I hate the Gemma I was all the way back in February.

I love the Gemma I am now, the Gemma who cares about people. The Gemma who appreciates what she has.

The Gemma who loves life. The Gemma who loves the people in her life.

Matt saved me from a life of nothing. He saved me from a pointless existence, where I cruised through life doing nothing but hurt other people.

I never realised how much Scott was hurt by me. He cared about me a lot, and tried to help me as much as he could, and I threw it all back in his face. Not anymore. I’m going to repay him for everything. Every last bit of shit he put up with from me, I’ll pay it back. Starting right now.

Before I knew Matt, I was a bitch. Now, I’m the kind of person the bitch picks on. I don’t care what people think of me anymore, I do what I like and say what I please (making sure to be nice about it of course.)

I live life to the fullest. I know that’s a major cliché, but it’s the truth. Seize the day. Live every day as if it was your last. Love life, because sooner or later it’s going to end. What happened to Matt is proof of that.

Laugh all the time, especially at yourself. Learn as much as you can, because knowledge is truth. Live to the max. Don’t let anything hold you back.

Live for the moment. Every minute you spend hating life is a minute you will never get back. Life is a gift, don’t waste it.

Matt taught me everything about who I should be, who I am now. He literally saved me. I only wish I could have returned the favour, saved him before it was too late.

Matt may be gone, but he lives on in my heart. Yeah, there I go with the clichés again, but it’s the truth. He holds a special place in my heart, and I know I will miss him forever.
