Hello! This is the improved version of this poem!!! I feel like this one is better and makes more sense, lol. It rhymes better...I guess. I really like it and may even work on it more. Who knows? I love leashes...especially on cute boys...hehehe. Just kidding! (Well, not really, but I don't want to scare anyone). Please enjoy and tell me what you think!

Love Is A Leash

Your love is a leash

Choking me with no release

You love what you see in my lies

While your ears are deaf to my cries

My pain is honey on your lips

A richness only tasted when we kissed

Sometimes I just want to get away

How can I leave your rainy days?

An addiction is what I fear

Yet you say it’s too late, my dear

Am I spiraling into an abyss?

Is this gripping feeling amiss?

It’s hard to understand what I feel

I just need to know if your love is real

Sweaty palms, I never rest

With this tight feeling inside my chest

A change in demeanor and everything falls

Into place as we kiss in the halls

Dreams slip in and out of mind

I want you near me all of the time

Heartbeats dance as we press together

Laughing in the lovely weather

This leash is such a sweet addiction

Around my neck it’s a passionate friction

The only thing I crave is your touch

The only thing I want is you, oh so much
