Whispers yell in war
Death's blood spurts-- an unending
Fountain of despair
Hear the silent screams
That echo; know the terror
And cease your pained fire
Wild hatred pulsates
In the putrid air of death
Angels long since fled
Hear the silent screams
Of children, of innocents
Listen to their pleas

"Good war." What an oxymoron. I'm not quite sure I like this very much, but I love the oxymoron "silent scream." As always, all feedback-- be they comments, suggestions, praise Yeah, right!, or flames-- are very welcome at OR se review. If you're a writer yourself, you know that we love any kind of feedback. I'd really appreciate it. ;;
Thanks to: my wonderful spell-check. And God help us... we can't ever hear those silent screams.
"If I am a jewel, as a dear friend once flirtatiously dubbed me, I am an opal. Fiery ice swirling in the milk-white of innocence. Passion and compassion. Myself to the core." Surprisingly enough, I wrote that. It's just to clarify any questions on my strange pen-name.
