I took the cap off of the green permanent marker and started to doodle on my left hand. The ink touched my skin and stayed in place for a little while, but then bled into the skin surrounding the spot to which I poked the marker. I then took a black pen and wrote over the lime green lines.

When I doodled on myself, I just wrote whatever came to mind. Sometimes it would turn out to be poetic-sounding words meshed together. “Sound travels faster than light, in my case,” was something I wrote this time (rather lame, in my opinion). I quickly followed it by: “fo’shizzle” and a couple hearts. My doodles were often like this.

I looked around, noticing that the people in the room were staring at me like I was mad. But, hey. I, myself, think I am.
