A/n: These are a collection of love poems I wrote . . . obviously. I just haven’t gotten around to posting them. Please be warned: some of these poems are happy, some are not. There will be angst involved so I’m rating these a little higher just incase.

Safe & Sound

You always used to say,
“I’ll always come back. I’ll never forget.”
Have you really gone away?

I wait for your return,
safe and sound. Back to me,
back into my arms.

With you around me,
I have no fear.
You’re always there.

But you said goodbye.
“Only for awhile.”
So I am waiting.

I wait for your return,
safe and sound. Back to me,
back into my arms.

Safe and sound, you’re here.
With me to stay. Around me.
“You’d know I’d never go away.”
