A lace shawl thrown about a shoulder,

Like a long forgotten starlet smiling rakishly

Before a camera, unposed and poetic.

The star of faded Hollywood glory on your brow,

Dimples on feet of black and pink; a little

Girl with mismatched shoes from mother’s wardrobe.

Eyes of a thousand whispered laughs,

Heart of a warrior gone prankster.

Dancing until dawn, it is these moments I will forever cherish.

Listening to the wild, joyous tempest of the Piper.
