I wish I could help you

And take away your pain

I wish I could hold you

As you cried into the rain

If only I lived closer to you

Then, I would hold you every day

But the truth is I can’t

Because I live far away

I know you’re very lonely

You never had a true friend in your life

You said you’re beaten often

And live in fear and strife

You are in great pain

And have been emotionally betrayed

Within the darkness of your heart

You have lost your way

There is only one place you can turn

It’s called the internet

And on a certain site

Is where we first met

Though I never met you

Outside the internet

The fact we became close

Is something I don’t regret

You told me some of your secrets

And I told you some of mine

If only we lived closer

We could’ve met at one time

Alas, that is impossible

You live half a world away

So, the only way I can help you

Is to listen to what you say
