Heroin Romance
By: Bleached Roses

Note: Dedicated to a friend of mine, my darling Love Atheist.

Nevermind me, Dear, I am just an addict in disguise -- posing as the lover with desire brewing behind these labyrinth eyes.

Taste&See,
were your greedy words to me,
One dose would blow me away,
& you were right::
much to my dismay.

Now the withdrawals are killing what I have left -- an empty heart&flooding eyes, this sickness inside that refuses to die. Lovely, breathe your sins into me:: erode these desires as you fester beneath my skin.

I gave you my heart to hold--
Love's last massacre,
Your precious gift made of black gold.

Now I scream with the volume of a thousand tongues,
As I feel you steal my breath away..
The dust&dirt of your residue filling up my lungs.

Darling, you were my heroin romance..
now I'm b-r-e-a-k-i-n-g the habit.
