Your Ocean

Sadness envelopes like an ocean’s waves

Holding onto the rocks along the shores

It stays

It stays

Caressing the shoreline you’ve made

It fades

It fades

Left now with only thoughts that can never be

Hopes melted into dreams

The ocean is full with the tears of you

The tears that have broken through

Give up and give in now

There is nothing you can do

Love forever and be loved by the few

The few that know you exist and visit you

You and your ocean and the rocks along the shore

To erase your sadness forevermore

The shoreline you made to protect yourself

It never existed

It never will

Open always and inviting

So wondrous is your ocean

The sun does not compare to the glitter of your tears

Shed so purely and so scarce throughout the years

Your ocean is beautiful and so are you

Don’t ever forget the few

The few that love and admire the view

The view of your ocean now melding with the shore

Your shore is the love that you have for the few

The few that love and are loved by you
