The heavens are warring
Clashing, Rumbling
Lightning at every strike

My mind is wavering
Hiding, Scared
Is this all an ominous sign?

My will is waning
Falling, Breaking
Was it just not meant to be?

I awake asleep
Dreamy, Comal
I wish I was back in my dreams

I dreamt while awake
Somber, Sane
Bringing my subconscious towards the surface

I talk to myself
Slowly, Calmly
Things would be the same

I sigh with a jaded smile
Grinning, Regrettably
That maybe this was how things should be.

The heavens aren’t warring
Smiling, Laughing
Lightning’s but to frighten me

The gods looked at me
Gently, Benevolently
They comfort me

I thank them
Graciously, Gratefully
And continue to walk my way
