Love Triangle

Seth Smith was guidance counselor at University of San Francisco he was married to Misha Williams, he was 26 years old. They were happily married for two years. They were expecting twins in three months.

Ally knocked on the door to Seth’s office. “Come in!” Seth said in his usual cheerful voice.

Ally walked in “Mr. Smith, I was wondering what classes I should take for my minor in business?” Ally asked him.

“Please don’t call me Mr. Smith it makes me feel old, hmm…well I would take accounting I and II and you also need a history credit, take whatever history class interests you the most.” Seth told her.

“Okay” Ally said, kind of sad her time with Seth was so short. She had a crush on Seth. She always looked forward to these meetings with him. She walked out of the office

“Hey Ally!”

Ally cringed when she heard his voice, it was her worst nightmare it was Joshua.

“Ally don’t you think you see the guidance counselor an awful lot? I mean what does one talk about?” Joshua asked her.

Ally turned a shaded of red, she doing nothing wrong she just enjoyed being with him. “Um…family troubles you know?”

“More the reason to talk to me I’m your friend!” Joshua said happily

Ally looked at him could never take him seriously, he was a Calvin Klein model, actually he was Speedo model.

“No I feel more relaxed talking to Mr. Smith” Ally told Joshua.
“Hey lets go to Club NightHawk! It’ll be fun!” Joshua said with excitement.

“I don’t know…” Ally said.

“You need a little fun in your life! You’re always studying” Joshua said looking at her.

“Well…I guess…I’ll go” Ally said uneasily.

“It’ll be awesome!” Joshua hugged her.

Joshua was tall and had brown hair, and green eyes. He was built well.

Later that night Joshua picked her up at her apartment, Ally was waiting and came down before he got out. “I was going to come up to get you” Joshua told her.

Ally got in the car without saying anything. Joshua drove to Club NightHawk. They got to the club, they both went in it was really packed tonight; it was the week after exams, so all the student were out partying. Ally was dancing with Joshua when out of the blue Joshua said “I love you Ally, I always have ever since I first met you in freshmen year of high school”

Ally looked at him confused, and then decided she’d pretend as if she couldn’t hear him “What did you say? I couldn’t hear you”

Joshua looked at her “I love you!” he yelled just as the music had stopped playing. Ally turned beat red, Joshua didn’t really care, he was just looking Ally straight in the eye.

“I gotta go, I have to go to work early tomorrow” Ally walked outside quickly, Joshua followed behind her.

“Hey I meant what I said” Joshua told her.

“Um…thanks? There is someone else I like.” Ally told him.

“Who?” Joshua asked her.

“It’s…um well it’s kind of embarrassing, and I haven’t told anyone either, and I do know nothings going to happen but I just really like him” Ally told him.

“…What the hell?! You didn’t tell me who he is except you haven’t told anyone. Maybe the reason you haven’t told anyone is because you really don’t like the guy.” Joshua told her.

“Hey! Don’t tell me who I like and don’t like I like him okay! And fine then I will tell you its Seth Smith!” Ally yelled out of frustration.

“Oh my fucking god. Ally are you crazy?! He is your counselor…so he doesn’t know? So I am being rejected because you like this 26 year old who is already married and has kids coming on the way, wow I feel like shit now” Joshua said depressed.

“No he doesn’t know, I am never going to tell him because I know nothing will happen, but talking to him makes life easier, he doesn’t judge you or anything.” Ally said with a smile.

Josh sighs deeply feeling sorry for her, and wondering how she could be so happy if she couldn’t be with the guy she liked.

“Hey don’t feel sorry for me! He is always happy so that makes me happy! And it feels good to have told someone about that” Ally said smiling still.

Josh couldn’t help but smile, maybe she was right just knowing the person you love is happy, makes you happy even if you are not the one that made them smile that made the world seem brighter.

“Well I really do have to go to work early tomorrow! Bye…and thanks for this night, I really did need it” Ally said smiling at him.

“Yeah…take care Ally. I’ll always be here for you” Joshua said then walked back into the club.

The next day Ally went to see Seth; she needed to talk to him one last time before summer vacation. She knocked on his door, she heard Seth say to come in. She walked in and looked around; he was packing up all of his things. “Did you finally get a bigger office?” Ally asked, Seth’s office wasn’t that big, well wasn’t as big as the other counselors.

“Afraid not, I’m moving to Maine, my wife wants to have the kids there, she doesn’t want them in the city. It’s also where she was born.” Seth told her. “Was there something you needed to talk about?” he asked her.

“Um…no I just came by to ask about something, but seem to have forgotten. Silly me” Ally said smiling. “Well have fun in Maine!”

“The new guidance counselor isn’t quite as handsome as me, but I think you two will get along” Seth said jokingly.

Ally blushed a little “Yeah, well I have to go”

“I’ll miss you, you were like a little sister to me you know that? Always came to me with your problems, I’ll miss you little sis” He said as he rubbed her head.

Stab he thinks of me as a little sister…ouch Ally thought. Ally decided to play along “Bye big brother!” she said as she walked out of the room.

Ally went back to her apartment, where he was waiting. “What are you doing here?” she asked.

“I decided I am going to fight for you Ally Jane Coehn, I’ll do whatever it takes to make you love me instead of Seth Smith.” Joshua told her.

“…Joshua Andrew Scott, I think that might be easy for you to do. He’s moving…not like down the street more like across the country…” Ally said getting teary eyed.

Joshua hugs her “Ally Jane Coehn, I won’t leave you I’ll always be here like I said before. I can help you forget.” Joshua told her.

Ally was crying now “This isn’t fair, I am vulnerable right now, you can’t say those things to me.”

“And why not Miss Coehn”

“Because…” She looked up at him “I think I never really liked him, I think I was just afraid of admitting that I liked you.”

“What?! Really?! That’d be like awesome if you liked me instead of him” Joshua said. “Hey lets go out on a date tomorrow, it’s the first official start of our summer vacation, a new start, okay” Joshua asked her.

Ally smiled and said yes.
