We are driving away, you and me.

You opened the door

To a life I have never seen or heard.

We drive away…

Started off in the right direction, that day.

Church bells and failure,

We left behind.

We ran away…

Kept on going,

Past the ocean blue and wide

So wide it was all you could see

Past the sunsets that will never end,

They are staying fresh in my mind.

We ran,

Past the mountain tops,

Snow capped in light, white.

Into a challenging world we go.

Our very own adventure,

Our very own depth…

Later on, maybe we’ll stop and rest.

Just as long as we don’t look back.
