This is a monologue I had to write for English a week ago. It's in the point of view of my character Christopher Cheffe, older brother of Lindsay Cheffe (also male) in my story Hippo.
Requirements: 20 lines, poem format.
---
I march merrily down the way,
Receiving many odd looks from bystanders.
My clothing stands out.
Purple and black checkered shirt,
Red cape billowing behind me,
Tiger print pants earn the most looks.
Green hair and multi-colored nailpolish don't help stave off the attention.
I march merrily down the way,
Uncaring of other people's opinions of me.
I am color blind.
So it doesn't matter what I do,
The colors will never match.
I like it this way,
It is much more fun.
My two closest friends are equally unique,
One staying near the lighter pastel colors,
Sky blue, pale green, and Easter egg pink.
The other staying near the darker, more brooding ones,
Crimson and black and purple.
We march merrily down the way.
