When I look up to the setting sky,

I ask myself simply why?

My Parents both gold hearted, strong,

How could war do so wrong?

I see my home in pieces, wrecked,

The officers came in, looked and checked.

I hear my neighbours weeping call,

She'd lost everyone, one and all.

I pity her, I pity me,

If only bombers would stop and see,

See the families torn apart,

Trying to mend their broken heart.

See the Children Parent-less,

Piecing together the broken mess.

A child clings on, weeping sad,

She tearfully asks me 'Where is dad?'

I do not know how to say,

That her daddy now is far away.

'He's gone' I tell her 'To fly and sore',

'I'm afraid daddy is no more'.

And now on the 9th of November,

We stop our lives just to remember,

Remember all the people who died,

Because we're all crying floods inside.
