Jaded

Another night without you at my embrace

Morning without you when I awaken

In my sleep you are in my dreams

Just to wake up missing you

Teaching myself to be patient

Cause I have become so weary from this wait

But if true love awaits

So shall I who is overflowing with

My love is not cynical

Yet I am not made of stone

Sometimes I might decide move

And sometimes I might choose to change

I am here with my pen, my soul and my heart

Waiting for something that might not be there

Still going great distances with my heart at stake

Cause I know deep down that you’re worth the risk
