Wanderlust

Sometimes on a sunny day, I find myself look far away into the distance and I pray, I pray that I can fly away

And, oh! the places I will go! The desert sands, the northern snow, the tallest trees in valleys low, into the distance I will go

Rivers with a crystal sheen, places no one else has seen, and forests deep and dark and green, I'll see them all one day

The sea reflecting sunset gold, the mountains old, the stars so cold, secrets lost for years untold will all be on my way

When finally these things I see there's still something that I will need, something that I need desperately, I need to go and find the Sea

An ocean far, an ocean deep, full of treasures mine to keep, so beautiful I want to weep, an ocean just for me

Ringed by glittering pure white sand, sinking slowly where I stand, ships are always close at hand to bear me safe away

My road is paved with silver dust, a fragile trust, a wanderlust, it calls me forth, I must, I must! I must go find the Sea

And I will go without a guide, and I'll remember those who died because they tried, they tried to hide, to flee the calling Sea

Suddenly I want to run, to finish now my path begun, and though this journey may be done, I'll still keep wandering
