I'll Never Let Go --6/17/06

A beautiful girl
sitting all alone
in her formal attire,

when formal simply meant
no jeans.

In his tuxedo
he sticks out his arm
palm up,

a kind gesture
requesting an answer
before the song can come to an end.

She grabs hold for dear life:
Please don’t let go,
I’ll follow wherever you lead.

He guides her to the floor:
Please don’t let go,
You’ve become something I need.

And they were never to know
what that one dance meant.

--Sunshine

A/N: I was watching the Titanic when I finished this one. The first dance he took me to, he told me it was formal...we were the only ones in real formal attire. I felt like an idiot, but dancing with him in his tuxedo with that ridiculous green cumberbun and bowtie...being ridiculously out of place...well,I couldn't have been anywhere that night and been happier.

"How did you find out?"-Jack
"I didn't. I just realized I already knew."-Rose
