God of the Morning

O God of the morning,

guard each dawning day.

Set me on Your path aright,

don't let me go astray.

God of the snow-white lilies,

please give me what I need.

Let me trust in what You provide,

and not partake of worldly greed.

God of the stars of heaven,

please watch me as I grow.

Keep me safe from any harm,

and show me where to go.

God of the soaring eagles,

please help me then to fly,

to do what You have planned for me,

and not let my chance go by.

God of the golden harvest,

we reap whate'er we sow,

let my actions show to Whom I belong,

that others might then You know.

God of the darkest evening,

please guard me as I sleep.

I give myself to You, O Lord,

Thou the Shepherd, I the sheep.

O Keeper of the Ages,

watch over my life, I pray.

Guard me in the night, my Lord,

let me wake with You each day.

Amen.
