Morning came the sky was dark
The thunder roared while the lightning struck
Clouds were filling every sky

Leaving home it started to rain
Falling, dripping, wetting my hair
I walked on, towards my destination

Reached the station damp but dry
Stepped across the barrier
Without me the train departed

The wind blew in as I waited
The most five minutes
On the screen it was stated

And then five minutes passed by
And then another
Finally a train arrived

I blinked

Suddenly I’m sitting by a river
On a cold dark stone bench
I wasn’t alone

I was at a quay, one with boats
The boats swam across the river surface
Pushing water away

There was silence
Three stars were spotted in the sky
A light shone towards the heavens

You wanted to speak
I didn’t expect much
I was prepared, the river was nearby anyway

The first word took long
But then again, there wasn’t one
Thank goodness there was a second

The sentence was out
It sounded so abstract
The words numbered four

And then I smiled
Because my brain switched off
But my heart understood the sentence

I pinched myself

It wasn’t a dream
