Goodbye Song

I’m sitting by my window,
Wondering what to do.
I haven’t been able to think
Since the day I lost you.
I know I should forget,
Like I’ve tried to do before.
But trying to forget you
Just makes my heart hurt more.

My eyes are red. My heart just aches.
I can’t find something to stop my pain.
My soul is screaming; I’m crying alone.
Can’t bear the thought that you’re not coming home.

I walk past your apartment,
But I can’t go in.
Its emptiness scared me.
My heart wrenches again.
I can’t look at pictures
That captured us together,
Can’t face the fact
That you’re gone forever.

My eyes are red. My heart just aches.
I can’t find something to stop my pain.
My soul is screaming; I’m crying alone.
Can’t bear the thought that you’re not coming home.

I want to be dreaming, but I know I’m not.
I know it’s real; I won’t wake up.
I cry myself to sleep every night.
It’s not okay; I’m not all right!

My eyes are red. My heart just aches.
I can’t find something to stop my pain.
My soul is screaming; I’m crying alone.
Can’t bear the thought that you’re not coming home.

My eyes are red. My heart, it aches.
Help me please, before I break.
My soul is screaming; I’m crying alone.
Please say it’s not true that you’re not coming home!

Not coming home…

Not coming home…

Not coming home…
