Morocco, Africa 100,000,000 BCE
Brightsnout was hanging on for his life. A natural disaster struck the African coast several hours ago. It was a hurricane. The little Deltadromeus was severely injured. He was hanging on for dear life behind a giant boulder that weighed tens of tons. His arms weren't functioning right.
Something was stuck in his right arm, obviously it ripped through his skin layers. Brightsnout also seemed to have brain damage, part of his skull smashed on the right side. His mother, Clearcut and his three sisters were nowhere to be seen. Brightsnout's hearing echoed as the hurricane winds ripped trees off their roots. He was dodging the peril. Several miles out, he saw a large monster. It was a black, swirling monster that spun continously like the darkness of hell. The swirling monster roared as it surfed across the ocean. Eventually, the black monster receded, and only silence plagued the beach.
Brightsnout saw dead saurians everywhere. Carcharodontosaurs lay covered in the sand. Pterosaurs lay lifeless on the beach with their wing membranes torn. Even the giant Paralititans didn't survive the black swirling monster. Brightsnout scanned the surrounding beach, calling for his mother. There was no response.
Brightsnout noticed a new bright color he never really paid attention to. The color red was seen on dead bodies. Red was leaking into the ocean's water and pools of red sunk into the soft sands. Brightsnout noticed red was coming out of his nose and mouth. His fingers even had red on them. Brightsnout tried avoiding the red in the sand, but it was everywhere. It was as if this red was unavoidable. Brightsnout felt the red dripping off his neck. Soon, Brightsnout got a painful sensation in his neck and head. He became sick and his stomach was churning. He became very dizzy and slipped in a pool of his own red. The red saturated his skin. The painful sensation danced through Brightsnout’s entire body. Slowly, he fell asleep.
He dreamed that he was being carried across a flat land littered with ferns and cycads. He was not sure who or what was carrying him but he felt like some heavenly presence stood above him. The next thing Brightsnout knew was that he was being carried over a river, a beautiful river that cascaded down from the mountains. The presence he felt got stronger, as if he knew this presence all his life. Somewhere in his memory he remembered someone he loved.
Then sometime later, Brightsnout awoke. In front of him stood another Deltadromeus; His mother. Oddly, Brightsnout didn't see anymore red or feel any painful sensation. He looked as good as new. Brightsnout noticed there was no dead bodies, ripped out trees, or toppled mountains. He had entered eternal freedom, but his sisters were no where to be seen.
