Sick Obsession

I cannot find the words to express my laryngital longing.
The glow of your meningitis infuses a feverish desire in me,
catching my diabetic heart wishing for the chill of your clammy touch.
My glands swell at the sound of your voice.

I see an influenzic lust in your eyes
Whenever my arthritic limbs sway back and forth
In your tender, brittle, osteoporosis embrace.

Fly me away to Polio
And I will buy you bunches of Ebola
As we tap our heels to the rhythmic whooping coughs
In the air thick with contamination
And our love.

I will remain your little smallpox forever.

Hypochondriac? I think not.
