Darkened Soul

My soul is now dark.

It has not always been.

It use to be bright,

And shine really bright,

I used to smile,

A real smile,

My smile now is fake.

I used to laugh,

A real laugh,

Now I only laugh at my mistakes.

The unspoken words slowly begin to kill me

I now look with sadness

As I watch myself cry.

The truth of the world was revealed to me,

And thus, my soul forever dampened.

All the colors that I once held inside,

Slowly begin to fade,

Into multiple shades of gray.

My soul is now black,

Darkened forever.
