"Have A Nice Day"

Really, when was the last moment you acknowledged that grin

When was the last time you actually looked up?

Continually in a hurry for what such reasons as none.

Never taking a milli second to widen your nostrils with an intake of breath,

then lower your chest in the heave to exhale.

Rather in the business of technology would you choke your thoughts,

not learning who you are but instead learning what you must do next.

It's always about the future,

even when you nor I know what tomorrow will be like.

It's even about the past,

when it has given up on us because we ran by it as a page in another book.

Why don't you raise your eyes for a moment to acknowledge that grin?

Just glimpse at it and bat your lashes.

The person is trying to say to you before you walk past them again,

and may never hear from them another word...
