Watching
Data or no Disc Found

Far away from me
That’s where you sit and watch
You keep a note
Of everything I do

Sometimes I see you too
But you pretend not to se me
But still you keep those notes
Saying what I do

If I walk, dance or sing,
If I move, talk or stop
You write them down
And remember then all

Are you my fan or a foe?
Should I worry? Should I fear?
You’re just watching me
But it’s starting to get weird

Sometimes late at night
I wonder where you are
Are you near by?
Are you still watching?

One day will you do too far
And cross over the line,
And see me face-to-face
After watching me so long?

When that day comes
Will you be nice,
Or will you want something
That you can’t get by watching?

18th April 2005

This was written at a time when a man 24 years older than me was in love with me and would often turn up at the place I worked in the hope of seeing me. He knew I wrote this, due to being there when I did, he just never realised that I was kind of writing it about him!
