This is the life that has been broken.

I have misinterpreted,

And I have guessed correctly.

I have said the wrong things,

And I have said the right things.

I have fallen flat on my face,

And I have been graceful.

I have cried over something before,

And I have let go easily.

I have hurt a life,

And I have saved one.

I have told a lie

And I have also told the truth.

I have lost a friend

And I have gained many.

I have lost before.

But I have also won.

I’ve chosen wrongly.

And I have chosen right.

I have judged someone.

I have been judged.

I have broken a heart.

And I have also had one.

You can’t pretend to be

Something you aren’t

Because you cannot change it.

This isn’t the life that has been broken.
