Sixty Minutes

Sixty minutes of my everyday
Tired and side-by-side we go home
We can do it with a passionate embrace
Or with an tongue-tied silence

To inspire another sappy love poem of mine
And make it a ride that would send me to heaven
Or to stir my deepest moods of sorrow
Then send me straight to hell

Bittersweet sixty minutes of my life
Where each and every second count
So lets make it memories as happy as a smile
And romantic as a kiss

Elude the void of sadness and tears
Of endless distain and self-pity
The sharp edges that might hurt us
The pain that might break us apart

Stay here in the my arms who cares
In the embrace of the one who loves you
Stay here where the wind blows beautifully on your hair
And where your scent is carried by the breeze to me

Again let your elbows rest in my welcoming lap
And lean your weight on me
And on your way down don’t forget to take care
Now the only thing left is your perfume on my hands

Sixty minutes of our time
We are tired and exhausted
Yet forgive me if your wishes differ from mine
For I wish this sixty minutes of our to never end

Authors Note:

A little background information. My girlfriend and me always ride home together from our college and that's what inspired this poem. Anyway, I'd really like to know what did you think about the poem. Your comments, suggestions, questions and other forms of reviews are very much welcomed. R/R
