A/N: Many might not be used to me writing so many long poems and especially with the content they have. But no these are not new thoughts to me, I am obviously Liberal but my hate is not forBush or for Republicans. My hate is in the degrade of the rights of an individual and that can be accredited to both the Democrats and Republicans, both are keeping silent as the little guy is being beat up. So i just wanted to clear up that these poems are not an attack on any specific party but on every party and on the fact we have abandoned our own Constitution so we can “be safe from the evil terrorists”, which im sorry if i offend anyone, is not an excuse for giving up what we supposedly will forever fight for as Americans....to me the “terrorists” are still attacking and they are winning because they are the silent ones in our government and we are letting them walk all over us.

I was once taught,
That this country had fought,
For the freedoms we take for granted,
Now these words seem slanted,
As I see more oppression,
And barely anyone there to question,
The methods of our governments,
Cause everything translates to dollars and cents.

Does this country only fight for money,
Cause I do not find it all that funny,
That our rights have been stripped,
All because the right people have been tipped,
Are you going to call me a traitor now,
Because I have written and posted my opinion out loud,
Cause that was once one of the my rights,
Before we decided to give up on the fight.
