I Bite My Lip and Savor the Taste

It reminds me of the better days
to feel the urge and tear away.
Like shedding skin and being new..
Reborn of flesh
Healing the wound...

I wish the world could see my eyes
to look through and view my ignorance.
I wish the world was like my mind;
innocent and free.
but the world isn't...me
