I’m looking through old books

Listening to old songs

Searching through my veins

My muscles and scar tissue

Seeking memory cells

Something to piece together

Myself again

Completely let out

Completely bleed out

I want to find my DNA again

The reason for the memories I have

The reason I choose this

The compass I followed

I put in a chore for safekeeping

And like everything it seems

I don’t remember which one I left it in

How do you find

What would tell you how to find it?

So I’m searching memory

Analyzing scars

Seeking my soul out

To find my compass again
