Heavy steel scissors,

Slice the binding ropes,

Away,

Delicate autumn leaves,

Torn from the trees,

Away,

Exhaust fumes,

Billowing behind a quickly retreating car,

Away,

The whisper of butterflies,

Calms my nerves,

Alone,

A wise old moon,

Watching over the land,

Alone,

The splash of water,

As it tumbles against the rocks,

Alone,

An embracing, loving darkness,

Surrounds me,

Alone and safe.
