Cair
Andros
See
the ship of long foam
Strong, serene, and tall-
See the
glimmering Ship's Home
Gondor's eastern wall.
This
desecration of our land
The fouling of the rock
This island we
took in hand
The key and now the lock.
Why
have the eagles cried?
When was it overrun?
When had we to save
it tried?
When was this madness done?
But
now we have a chance
To take it back we may try
With sword and
lance
Their strength defy.
The
work is done now
Men have died
And bent the bow
In the
doing, courage tried.
Now
the day has broken
Our fears are left behind
Now have Valar
spoken
And the King is kind.
