Oh Lord, give him strength to face the world

Let him be strong in You

When storms of doubt

And guilt

And hurt

Well up inside his soul

When lust and sin

Consume his thoughts

Let him come home

To Your arms

Give him the knowledge of You

When all hope is gone

And only an empty shell

That rings out so loud

Is left

Wrap him in Your mercy

So that he won't fall away

Let all Your love

Become a blanket around him

Give him faith, when he should doubt

Give him mercy, when he deserves none
