End of the working day
And the guys and girls play
Drinking the night away
And the dance it so close
They are almost one
And everyone is having fun
Stipping off in the awful heat
And the dancing feet
Dancing to the beat
Of the anthem of the youth
The latest hits
And old classics
That never miss
-
Not much has happened
But they're celibrating
Like it's the end of a war
Or something greater
Something more
But it's only Friday night
In the local club
And the thing masked as love
Has turned the heating up
-
End of the party night
And the guys and girls fight
The drunken step to dance again
Filling up the street
With drunken dancing feet
Letting off the awful heart
Though the anthems stopped
They sing dance and laugh alot
It's not the end
Of the night by far
They catch a cab
And head back home
To turn the music on
And drink some more
-
Not much left to do
But they're doing everything
Every trick in the book
The girls get that look
The guys act as crooks
And steal their hearts away
With drunken slurs
And a hand extended
They dance closer
Than they've ever danced before
The dance floor maybe a living room
But nothing will stop them now
Dancing till dawn
Everybody reborn, in drunken dancing form
-
The smokey room gets so hot
But it hits the spot
Though it never stops
To catch its breath
Dance until our death
To the anthems
The anthems of our youth
It's an awful truth
But these, are the best days
So make the most of them
It will never be again
For manny of us, oh no
