“You -The Poison”

No words to say,

A quick glance,

That subtle parting,

As if by chance.

Another glimpse of you,

By moonlight,

Smiling like an angel,

You were a sight.

A deep grieving,

Of the heart’s longing,

Lost that feeling,

Of deep belonging.

Held you too close,

Should have seen the signs,

Of a dormant poison,

Killing through time.

A foolish choice,

One I must learn from,

To escape the poisons,

Yet to come.
