bittersweet

your tongue drips inconsistencies
and honey bittersweet,
like candy liquor, drunken midnight treat
awake inside my head --
in dreaming, dead,
and you with awkward stumbling in the dark
attacking "real" and "fantasy"
until you're more confused than drunk --
did you forget the honey in your tongue?
are pleasant "I love you"s and "may I"s done?
hair curled in boyish lust and stuttering,
unsure with me, both satisfied and suffering --
unsure of you, your inconsistent tongue,
unsure of flesh, of blood, of what you've done.
awaken, dear, to find the sun is coming soon.
leave honey, bittersweet, and exit room.
