A shot of adrenaline—so sudden her

heart beats like rapid fire, (the

ammunition never ends.)

It is a short frontier, yet a dazzling landscape.

Exhilaration brings light to the situation.

A blood rush.

The tension is tight; the moments creep forward into

endless breathlessness as the sudden excitement

freezes her in place.

Waiting.

The sudden realization of life on the line,

this moment predicts the future

for her and others.

The air filled with a buzzing,

she is too afraid

to move

to act

to attack.

She fights all panic,

and swears to complete her mission:

conquer and kiss

his forearms.
