Looking out my window,

The sun shines through,

A clear day.

The rain begins to pour down,

Tiny droplets of water,

Held up in the sky.

Driving down on the hot tar road,

The water mists

And becomes fog

In front of my eyes.

And a rainbow appears.

In the sky,

Bands of color,

Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green,

Blue, Indigo, Violet.

Rays of light.

Is a rainbow just an image?

With no real end to it

With yet another pot of gold?

Or does it just disappear

Into the afternoon sky,

The sun now taking over.

Burning.
