I take my paintbrush wherever I go

So the real me will never have to show

A hideous face covered by a mask

A mask painted by me at last

I paint the sidewalk in front of me

To perfect the strokes of my unusual melody

I paint a picture upon the wall

To hide the truth of my terrible fall

My face hidden from the world to see

Maybe now someone will fall in love with me

Strokes smoothed by the flick of a wrist

Bumps and bruises eased with a perfect kiss

Lips painted dark and red

No harsh lines from the thick led

Eyes wide and round

A teardrop falls without a sound

Hair soft and smooth

White as the moon

Now that I'm perfect

Would you like to be too?
