The Book

THe Sun is shining

Dripping light

Casting a golden glow

Upon the grass

As the sun shines

Birds twitter happily

Hidden by boughs

In graceful green trees

It casts its graceful glance

Towards a fresh fruit grove

Where, sitting beneath a tree

Against the sturdy trunk

Is an unmoving youth

Legs out in front

Leaning back as if asleep

But, in its hands

Is a treasure

One that most have, but few use

A time machine

Taking you back

Visiting King Arthur and his brave knights

Princes and Princesses

Fire-breathing Dragons and Castles

This is a treasure that lasts beyond time and space

A treasure that lets you visit the sun,

The moon and stars

You can visit the ancient discoveries,

Wars and battles

It’s all up to you

To visit,

To have all knowledge

And to have excitement

All you need is to pick a book

Open the cover

And start to read
