Since You Arrived

Miss-Nina

Never knew I could feel this way,

and never knew such a feeling grew.

Always thought love was a fairy tale,

‘Till reality dropped its ugly veil.

Thought you were perfect,

thought you were strong.

But soon, babe I realized we were all wrong.

Thought nobody could make me feel like this:

This bitter sweet bliss of your cold soulless kiss.

Anytime that I look at you,

you fill my heart with something new.

It isn’t love, boy, and oh it ain’t lust.

Just that you lost all my trust.

Never knew I could feel this way,

and never knew such a feeling grew.

Always thought love was a fairy tale,

‘Till reality dropped its ugly veil.

And every night, when you call me, cryin’,

Every time I think you aren’t lyin’,

All’s forgiven, all’s forgotten.

‘Till next week I find out your “truth” is just rotten.

One day, just like another,

I slap you, boy, just like a mother.

I tell you this and tell you that.

Tell you it’s over, tell you to scat.

Never knew I could feel this way,

and never knew such a feeling grew.

Always thought love was a fairy tale,

‘Till reality dropped its ugly veil.

…. Since you arrived….
