“Toxins”

Be careful of the air you breathe; there’s toxins in it…

Toxins such as myself.

I am the smoke, clouding everything,

Making it difficult to see

Exactly what we want from ourselves

And everyone else.

I am the thick black mist

Causing people to cough and sputter,

Choking on the complications I bring.

Nowhere am I welcome,

Nowhere do I belong,

Nowhere do I go.

I drift, and am overpowered

By the pure clean air that is my one solution…

To breathe in the toxins of my soul

And be free.
