God and Goddess I ask of thee

to awaken in the realms within, around, and beyond me.

For I attune with you on this joyous occasion,

to join in with all of nature's celebration.

-

The rebirth of the God is now at hand,

so he may once again fertilize the land.

Tonight I ask that I be reborn as well;

to become a positive force to all with whom I dwell.

-

I offer this flame as a tribute to the son,

that shall arise in glory when this night is done.

I offer this water to comfort the Goddess,

to chill the fever arisen from the birth-stress.

-

I understand that I am not a new soul,

having spent a previous life achieving my goal

I, myself, have died and been reborn;

gone from this realm, bound to return.

-

I have said my prayer and I have said my plight,

so now I leave this flame burning long into the night.

With hopes it might offer some comfort and protection,

to the God, this night, his night of resurrection.
