Loneliness

I can feel the feeling of loneliness

Creep into my mind and soul.

Like water seeping through a crack in a wall.

Knowing there is no way in stopping it.

I can feel its cold hands in me.

Trying to bring those thoughts I have tried to push away.

Those doubts I try to forget.

Those feelings I thought gone.

In that abyss of darkness that you run from.

With loneliness, sorrow comes down hard.

Like that of a wave crashing against rocks

You would see at the bottom of a cliff.

That feeling of dread thought gone now back.

I can hear that icy voice

Beckoning me to fall from grace;

Like a fallen angel that falls from heaven.

You cover your eyes to keep out the image.

You cover your ears to keep it out of your mind.

Telling yourself to not listen.

You try to run from those hands of sorrow;

Like that of a prey running from its predator.

But in due time those hands shall catch you.

But in due time you shall give in to that voice.

In due time you shall fall from grace;

Falling into the abyss.
