The Airman's Forgiveness --6/5/06

Tall, dark, and handsome
now well built and in shape;
One boot after the other
he makes his escape

Home to see the loved ones
he'll fight for with his life.
First he saw his mother
then the one who'll be his wife.

Another came sprinting at him
both eyes filled with tears
And when she looked into his glasses
he could see all of her fears.

He held her like he did the night
he thought they'd never let go;
She smiled at the forgiveness
and whispered, "Welcome home."

A/N: This was my dream last night...well, this morning. He's told me so many times that it's all good, but I just haven't felt that way yet. He's not off fighting yet, he's just on a base for training and hopefully he'll be back in the fall. i heart RMF II
