TESTING MESSIAH'S WOUNDS

How could I ever doubt this feeling
This feeling we both so closely share
That seems to be me
always needing proof
always testing Messiah's wounds
So I found myself running late
a hurried rush to wake in the dark
then, in your sleep
you interlocked our hands
and pressed your lips to mine
In your sleep?
and then I had to fly
roll away lonely in the night
it's the loneliest drive I ever take
but I seem to take it every night
Now I know that your love must be so deep
too deep to be burned
too deep to be yanked away
to deep to be walled in
too deep to be doubted
as I run my finger
around the wounds of the obvious
