Rolling waves

Time escapes as the water

Erodes the life of the sand

The waves keep going

On and on, on and on

Crashing and falling

The tide changes

In and out, out and in

Creatures dwell in the rushing water

Their habitats swept away

By the lulling sea

Children disrupt the flow

Splashing and playing in nature’s

Never-ending rhythm

The sun rises and sets

The moon rises and sets

And still the water moves

On and on.
