“Fantasy Vs Reality”
There is a place I like to go,
There is a place that no one knows.
There is a place only I can see,
A place far from my misery;
A place where endless trees of green
For miles and miles can be seen
Under a perpetually blue sky
Filled with puffs of clouds just passing by;
Where flowers bloom and bluebirds sing
And robins join in reckoning;
Where young fawns play and the sun shines bright
And it’s always day and never night.
There is a place I’d much rather be,
Entombed in my own misery.
For this is all I’ve ever known
For this is what I call home.
This land of ashes, this land of debris,
Is my world of despair and treachery
I cannot hide amongst the sun;
From my past I can no longer run.
In truth it’s fantasy vs reality
In all that we see
Do we have the strength to no longer pretend
That all good things don’t come to an end?
