Remember the time when we couldn't

Forget you

Forget me

Forget us?

The sun rose,

And you said,

"Okay,

We'll go back to the way things were

In our once-upon-a-time,

Before the fall out,

And the fall down of our lives

Left us miserable

Again.

Remember the time when we didn't want to

Forget you

Forget me

Forget us?

And you said,

"I love you,

And I won't ever just give up

On us again."

And you were lying in my bed,
And I said,

"I love you,

And I don't know

If I can ever just let go

Or this,

Or feel this bliss

Ever again."

Remember the time when we couldn't decide if we should

Forget you

Forget me

Forget us?

The sun set;

Our eyes never met

As we screamed about what went wrong this time.

"You promised!"

"It meant nothing!

He and I, there's nothing there!"

"You can't keep your hands to yourself!"

"You can't show you care"

Remember the time when you chose to

Forget me

Forget us

Forget me?

Left me crying in your wake.

Strung me around like a bead.

When I couldn't

Forget you

Forget us

Forget you.

And it hurt to lose my best friend.

You walked away into someone else's arms.

More than willing to

Forget me.

Now I am stronger,

So forget you.

Now I'm smarter,

So forget you.

Now I'm ok.

Forget you.

Forget us.

Forget you.
