light the fires in my eyes and pull me apart
shot through the heart, bleeding me dry
wrap my smiles in plasic and put them on a shelf
the sun will go out and melt from the sky
buried beneath the pages of my favorite book

sing me your screams that drip from your lungs
forming a puddle of blood-thirsty dreams
nothing will stop me from plunging this knife
the stars will all fade and burst into scars
buried beneath the pages of my favorite book

soothe me to sleep with your immaculate hate
bathed in the silence that seeps from your soul
orange blossom secrets carved in this withered heart
the clouds will weep fire and drown in the pain
buried beneath the pages of my favorite book

choose the needle and then pick the right vein
haunted viciously through storm painted nights
torment me ruthlessly til shadows turn blue
the oceans will spit and bleed for the light
buried beneath the pages of my favorite book

scream me your songs that rip through your soul
burning a hole through your heart torn in two
taken for granted the rage colored nightmares
the moon will die and fall from her throne
buried beneath the pages of my favorite book

pour the fear from my eyes and throw me away
spiraling downward through shattered glass
rupture both lungs as i scream myself to death
the universe will implode and leave us nothing
buried beneath the pages of my favorite book
